'A Midsummer Night's Dream'
Shakespeare in the park
“’Tis almost fairy time”
This fresh, young production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream begins firmly in a familiar, contemporary world but when the young lovers flee the rigid constraints of their parents, they are tumbled into a weird, wonderful, Woodstock of an Athenian forest. With rip-roaring, live American folk this is a great night out for all the family. Bring a picnic and blankets and enjoy an enchanting evening of fairies and frivolity.
A festival favourite, founded by its current producer in 1989 in Queen’s Park, it re-formed, relocating to St Ann’s Well Gardens 6 years ago. Following a gap year, it's back! Showcasing a talented young cast and director, Shakespearean actress, Rebecca Loudon.
